I was born in Switzerland and spent my childhood in Milan, Italy. I can't remember a time where I didn't have a pen or a pencil or a paintbrush in my hand, although I began painting seriously at the age of 11. I started with quite detailed and representative paintings and drawings, then transitioned to a phase of quick, almost instinctive art with spray paint and acrylics, and finally moved onto more symbolistic art. My most recent activity involves graphic design, something that I started when designing iPhone and iPod games in school, and has now become a more professional hobbyò In 2017 I graduated from the University of Manchester, where I studied Geography BSc (Hons) for my undergraduate degree in the hopes of becoming an environmental researcher. I'm now attending a Masters degree in Environmental Monitoring, Modelling and Reconstruction in the same University to pursue this dream.
However, art remains my main source of relaxation and my greatest hobby and I've found my balance within my interests. I have been volunteering with environmental organisations such as the Woodland Trust (www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/authors/dael-sassoon/) in the UK and the National Research Council in Italy. At the same time I work as Lead Graphic Designer at Alitica (www.alitica.com), an analytics startup for the restaurant industry, and as a freelancer for the graphic design website 99designs.com.
